Responsibility
This is a great opportunity to play a senior GUI developer role in a business-focused front-office development team.
As a senior member of the team, the candidate’s role is not restricted to understanding the technology, but also the business requirements and the architectural vision of the new e-trading platform. It is expected that the candidate plays an active role in shaping the technology strategy for the platform’s front-end, and be able to articulate this effectively with all stakeholders, and secure their buy-in. The candidate should be able to liaise effectively with the business users/team members in London and establish good rapport with the desk.
The candidate will be a highly skilled senior C# developer capable of taking the existing GUI and ambiguous/changing requirements into stride, and then engineer a front-end solution that not only meets the immediate requirements of the global business, but also provides an avenue for further extension.
The candidate should be able to support and mentor junior members, and generally be a role model within the team. Excellent communication skills are a must.
Development is primarily .NET/C# based in a Winform-based environment.
Requirement
Essential Skills
# For Officer/AVP – Minimum 3-5 years experience for the same as above
# Deep, detailed, hands-on knowledge of C# and the .NET framework is a must!
# Expertise in the design and development of sophisticated WinForm based GUI. Detailed knowledge of the main GUI controls, incl. DataGridView customization, 3rd party control libraries (e.g. SyncFusion).
# Expertise in threads, delegates, events, transaction and state management, collections, data serialization, XML
# Experience in designing and tuning software for high availability and performance.
# Candidate must come from a top University with a first class degree in Computer Science, Physics, or related Math's or other analytical degree.
# Strong understanding and knowledge of Windows
# Background in Finance is desirable but not required.
# Candidate must be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills with a desire to learn and deliver.
# Ability to critique the design/implementation of fellow team members, and provide them with technical direction
Desired Skills
# Knowledge of Fixed Income pricing and trading electronically. Coupled with this would be experience of working on real-time, low-latency systems to support rates businesses.
# Knowledge of other FICC products e.g. Interest Rate Swaps, Futures, Options.
